Job Description
Performs hands-on materials duties and expediting of material and personnel to and from the jobsite as needed for the project.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible for loading and unloading materials from transport vehicle and for securing loads in vehicle.
+ Picks up materials from vendors at multiple locations, assuring documentation is correct and transports it to the jobsite.
+ Confirms material is accurate and documents defective material issues, shipment discrepancies and non-conformance issues. Relays that information to the Material Coordinator and assists in resolving the issue in a timely manner.
+ Works directly with Vendor warehouses and NANA personnel on a daily basis.
+ Provides accurate documentation, to the Material Coordinator, of all material handled as per established material procedures.
+ Responds to and helps communicate and resolve material issues from the project personnel.
+ Assist in managing both permanent material and consumables, tools and equipment.
+ Handling, packaging and consolidating freight, including banding, shrink-wrapping, labeling of material.
+ Follow all company, client, safety and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
+ This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
+ Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years direcly related material handler experience will be considered.
+ Experience operating a flatbed truck and small forklift in a construction site environment.
+ Three (3) years construction material handler experience preferred.
+ Intermediate skillset with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
+ 49CFR & ICAO/IATA Haz-Mat Transportation certification preferred.
+ Good written and oral communication skillset.
+ Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
+ Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and interface with a variety of people representing different companies.
+ Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell. Steel toed boots required on the job.
